Gretsch Malcolm Young Signature Jet - G6131G

Gretsch Malcolm Young Signature Jet

Model G6131G-MY-RB, Made in Japan - With original Gretsch Hardcase.

Everyone knows Malcolm’s “Beast”, but not many know that before the paint was stripped and 70% of the electronics were gutted that it looked like this. And this signature series is Gretsch’s spot on recreation of Malcolm’s Jet. And it doesn’t disappoint. Wouldn’t it be nice if Gibson did a faithful reproduction of Angus’s ‘68 SG standard as well as Gretsch has done this Jet….. one can only hope and wish.

This is probably my favourite Gretsch made to date. Plays like butter. Sounds exactly the way you’d expect it too. And well, look at it, it’s just awesome. This is one of those guitars that would be just as perfect for a private collection displayed as it would be played night after night pumping out 70’s Acca Dacca.
