Who wants a stock SG standard fresh out of the box when you can have one about 100% cooler - and actually looks and plays like a late 60’s Standard (which is the only standard that matters).

So this started as a stock standard, but now is far from it. Aftermarket lyre vibrola fitted (stop bar delete, holes gone and earth relocated to the bridge) and ‘69 style witch hat knobs added.

This is the SG Gibson SHOULD make, however they don’t. And to the best of my knowledge the only time they have made an SG Standard with the full batwig guard and Vibrola since 1971 is on their signature models (Angus, Robby Krieger etc) - as awesome as they are they are expensive and rare.
