Custom And Reissued Gretsch Guitars

Gretsch 5120

The only way that you are going to get your hands on a decent Gretsch without robbing a bank is by buying a reissue, and even then you may be looking at a couple of grand at least for a 1994 Penguin or similar.

The good thing about Gretsches, is they aren’t really mass produced, and there are loads of great signature and anniversary models, as they just kept refining and broadening their models – most of which are collectibles. So even if you are a player after that original sound, at least you’ll buy one pretty much knowing that if you do need to sell it, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll lose any money – in fact probably the opposite.

Our favourite is the Brian Setzer Tribute, designed for that pure rockabilly sound, but with a bit more of a full bodied tone without taking away any of the crispness – we don’t know how they did it! See if there’s one up for sale down below!
