The guitar we know today as the Fender Telecaster started life In 1950 / 51, originally called the Broadcaster, until Fender were forced to change the name for legal reasons. These early guitars are extremely rare as are the Nocaster guitars that followed for a short period. The Nocaster name came from the fact the Telecaster was nameless as a result of the legal issues for a short period until the name Telecaster was given to it, and stuck to this day. Every collector strives to get their hands on a pre-CBS buyout guitar. There's not many of them about, so keep an eye out for what remains one of the worlds longest built solid body electric guitars.
